English for Restaurant Workers is a post-elementary course designed for trainee waiters and waitresses, and for trainers in the restaurant and catering industry. The course incorporates the English vocabulary needed in this field of work, illustrates important job-specific verbs and nouns, and shows how restaurant tasks are done in a step-by-step picture process format. It also includes common phrases, terms, and expressions that recur constantly, and provides a basic reference to aspects of restaurant work such as equipment used, cooking methods, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, different meats and vegetables, etc. The course includes interesting and fun exercises that test the user's understanding and knowledge of restaurant English, and a free audio CD with dialogs from each chapter is included.
